an experience that evokes fear yet fascination, awe but attraction - that profound feeling of being overwhelmed and inspired.
Welcome to Numinous: I Help CIOs Build Their Entire Technology Leadership Team
Most executive search firms fill roles one at a time. I build connected leadership layers that actually work together.
In the past 18 months, I've placed nine senior leaders for one CIO at an ASX 200 healthcare and consumer goods company - Chief Information Security Officer, GM Strategy & Architecture, GM Digital & Enterprise Applications, and six other critical roles across AI, governance, platforms, and engagement.
Before that, I worked with the technology leadership team at a major infrastructure operator on seven senior placements across service operations, architecture, and data analytics.
Your board is asking about AI ROI. Security is now a CEO problem. Budgets are flat but expectations keep rising.
You need more than capable individuals - you need a leadership team that can deliver in this environment. Leaders who understand each other's domains, speak the same language about outcomes, and can move at pace together. That's what I build.
The difference? I came back to recruitment after spending over 10 years working in IT.
I worked in business development at a systems integrator, selling IT solutions - storage, virtualisation, backup, disaster recovery, and cloud services - to mid-market companies. That meant I was constantly in the room with CIOs and their leadership teams, watching them make build/buy decisions, assess their internal capability, and plan complex implementations.
I learned to assess which IT leaders could actually execute and which couldn't - because my success depended on their ability to deliver what we sold them. Over time, working with the same companies on multiple projects, I saw what happened when IT leaders were aligned versus when they worked in silos. I learned which leaders could secure budget, get stakeholder buy-in, and drive implementations forward. The best IT leaders I worked with could translate technical decisions into business outcomes, bring stakeholders along, and execute under pressure. That's what I look for now when I'm assessing candidates for your team.
I don't work on volume. I work on depth. If you're a CIO in an ASX-listed organisation building or reshaping your technology leadership team, let's talk.
